What Youll Do- Provide specialized oncology nursing care to hematology, BMT, and oncology patients
- Assist with bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
- Administer medication and treatments using Alaris IV pumps, barcode medication systems, and other hospital equipment
- Monitor patient conditions and update care plans accordingly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with all safety and confidentiality standards
- Support float team as needed, covering weekend shifts and emergencies
What You NeedRequired:- Valid RN license in Louisiana or appropriate state
- Experience in hematology, oncology, or related specialty
- BLS and ACLS certifications
Preferred:- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Certified Oncology Nurse (ONS) certification

This assignment is at a progressive hospital in New Orleans, offering specialized care for hematology, leukemia, BMT, and gynecologic/onco surgeries. The unit features a small, high-acuity 7-bed wing with bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsy capabilities.
