What You'll Do
- Provide specialized care to adult and geriatric patients with acute leukemia and other hematology disorders
- Administer chemotherapy and blood products following safety protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and interpret telemetry data, including dysrhythmias
- Manage IV therapy, PICC lines, central lines, and feeding tubes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prevent infections and patient falls
- Document care accurately in EPIC electronic medical records
- Respond to rapid response team calls and emergent situations
What You Need
Required:- Active RN license in Ohio or equivalent state
- BLS, ACLS, and ONS Chemo Certification
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including hematology/oncology
- Proficiency with MS/Tele, telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, blood product administration, and line management
Preferred:- NIHSS certification
- Experience with infection control and falls prevention protocols

This assignment takes place in a busy, high-acuity hematology/oncology unit at a leading facility in Columbus, Ohio. You will focus on caring for adult patients, primarily those newly diagnosed with acute leukemia, with a patient-focused approach to safety and quality. The unit handles a significant volume of blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolytes, with staffing ratios aiming for 1:4, sometimes 1:5.
