OnBase Technical Lead

Job Overview

The OnBase Technical Lead serves as the principal technical authority for OnBase applications, providing hands-on leadership in the design, development, configuration, and enhancement of OnBase WorkView and Workflow solutions. This role leads the development team through the full application lifecycle while serving as a functional architect responsible for translating business needs into scalable technical solutions and ensuring high-quality implementation.

Job Duties

• Lead the development team in designing, coding, and implementing enhancements to existing OnBase applications.
• Architect and optimize OnBase WorkView and Workflow solutions to address complex business requirements.
• Configure, develop, and maintain OnBase WorkView applications and Workflow processes.
• Plan and implement interface, process, and workflow strategies for OnBase applications.
• Guide the team through requirements analysis, application design, development, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Serve as a functional architect by translating business requirements into technical solutions and overseeing execution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and interpret user requirements and incorporate them into design specifications.
• Direct and participate in application design, development, coding, unit testing, debugging, and implementation activities.
• Review technical designs, recommend improvements, and provide strategic and hands-on technical leadership.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to OnBase applications.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the testing process to ensure quality standards are met.
• Communicate accurate and actionable status updates to team members and management.
• Identify, track, and resolve issues, risks, and action items affecting development activities.
• Plan and estimate task timelines and help ensure timely resolution of technical challenges.
• Provide ongoing training on OnBase tools and techniques to strengthen staff support capabilities.

Job Requirements

• OnBase WorkView & Workflow certification is highly desired.
• Experience developing and enhancing existing OnBase applications.
• Expert knowledge of OnBase WorkView and Workflow functionality.
• Expert knowledge of OnBase systems configuration and administration.
• Understanding of Unity Client and how it is used for OnBase applications.
