OnBase Technical Lead

Location: Dauphin County, PA
Work Arrangement: 100% Remote; occasional travel to Harrisburg, PA
Schedule: 40 hours/week; 8 hours/day; 5 days/week
Interview: Initial virtual interview via Teams, potentially followed by an in-person interview at 219 Finance Building, Harrisburg, PA 17120
Contract: Oct 5, 2026 - Dec 31, 2026. Will be extended through Jun 30, 2027, then possibly in 6-month increments.

Role Overview

The OnBase Technical Lead serves as the principal technical authority for OnBase applications, with particular emphasis on OnBase WorkView and Workflow. The role leads the development group while providing hands-on technical leadership across application design, development, configuration, optimization, testing, and production support.

This position functions as a technical and functional architect, providing strategic direction, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and guiding the team throughout the development lifecycle. The position is remote with occasional travel to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the development group in designing, coding, and implementing enhancements to existing OnBase applications.
• Apply deep and demonstrated knowledge of OnBase WorkView and Workflow to architect and optimize solutions for complex business needs.
• Configure, develop, and maintain OnBase WorkView applications and Workflow processes to support robust, scalable, and efficient operations.
• Plan and deploy interface, process, and workflow strategies for OnBase applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to OnBase applications.
• Guide the team through requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
• Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership in reviewing designs, recommending improvements, and ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives.
• Serve as the functional architect by translating business requirements into technical solutions and overseeing their execution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and interpret user requirements and ensure they are reflected in design specifications.
• Direct and participate in application design, development, coding, unit testing, and debugging of OnBase solutions.
• Provide expertise and guidance during testing to ensure quality standards are met.
• Communicate accurate and useful status updates to team members and management.
• Identify, track, and resolve issues, risks, and action items affecting the team's work.
• Plan and estimate timelines for tasks and support timely resolution of challenges.
• Provide ongoing training on OnBase tools and techniques to strengthen staff support capabilities.

Required Technical Skills

• Expert-level experience developing and enhancing existing OnBase applications.
• Expert knowledge of OnBase WorkView and Workflow functionality.
• Expert knowledge of OnBase systems configuration and administration.
• Working understanding of Unity Client and how it is used for OnBase applications.
• A 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.

Preferred Qualifications

• OnBase WorkView & Workflow certification is highly desired.
