Position
We are seeking an Entry-Level Field Network Technician to join our service team in the Portland, OR area.
This is a field-based position supporting customers throughout Portland and the surrounding areas, with a territory that may be located near your home.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Basic knowledge of network connectivity, network security, and Wi-Fi networks.
Working knowledge of Windows environments and common operating systems.
Ability to work with a variety of customers and vendors, both technical and non-technical.
Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to gather information and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
Ability to travel locally to various customer locations.
Ability to communicate effectively by phone, email, and written documentation.
Qualifications
Previous field networking or IT support experience is preferred but not required.
Understanding of networking protocols and concepts, including SMTP, FTP, SMB, ports, and TCP/IP.
Hands-on experience supporting users with Windows desktop operating systems and common Microsoft applications.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Bonus Skills
Knowledge of the Mac OS environment.
CompTIA Network+ certification.
Previous experience working with IT professionals or within an IT support environment.
