WarHorse Gaming Omaha is seeking energetic, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Seasonal Mutuels Cashiers for the upcoming live racing season. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing horse racing and sports wagers, issuing tickets, and handling payouts while delivering an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

COMPENSATION & PERKS:
$20.00/hour during 4-week paid training period
$18.50/hour plus tips (tokes) once active
Opportunity to earn up to $20.00/hour total compensation

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
Accurately enter betting information, issue tickets, and process payouts for horse racing and sports wagers
Verify wagers and ensure compliance with department procedures and gaming regulations
Explain wagering rules, betting lines, and odds to guests in a clear, professional, and engaging manner
Provide exceptional guest service by addressing questions, concerns, or complaints
Maintain and balance an assigned cash bank; reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift
Maintain knowledge of racing events, sportsbook offerings, and property promotions
Ensure work area is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Attend required training sessions and team meetings
Perform additional duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Required:
Must be 21 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED required
Strong customer service and communication skills
Basic cash handling and transaction processing experience
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License
Preferred:
Previous Mutuels Writer/Teller or sportsbook experience
Experience in guest service and cash or credit card processing
Knowledge of sports, horse racing, and wagering systems
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar systems)
WORK HOURS / SCHEDULE:
This is an on-call, seasonal position. Due to the nature of the racing and entertainment industry, team members must be available to work all scheduled race days and assigned locations, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel is required for this position. Team members may be assigned to multiple racing locations. Travel, lodging, and meals will be provided.
