Work Setting: Outpatient clinic environment (Occupational Medicine & Urgent Care)

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide locum coverage across outpatient centers in both Kansas and Missouri. This role supports a combination of occupational medicine and urgent care services, treating both scheduled and walk‑in patients.

The ideal provider is autonomous, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment while interacting directly with employers and patients. This is a high‑priority assignment with anticipated quick movement once compliance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat work‑related injuries

• Evaluate and treat urgent care patients on a walk‑in basis

• Perform pre‑placement physicals

• Conduct DOT physical examinations

• Perform public safety exams

• Conduct surveillance physicals

• Perform in‑office procedures

• Communicate with employers and provide medical guidance

• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner

• Demonstrate professional, welcoming, and respectful behavior at all times

Required Qualifications

• Active DOT Certification prior to start date

• Occupational Medicine experience

• Urgent Care experience

• Proficiency in office‑based procedures

• Ability to treat patients autonomously

• Board certified or board eligible in primary care or related field

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program (Master’s degree required, including preceptorship)

• Willing and able to support centers across Kansas and Missouri

Certifications/Licensure

• Active DOT Certification

• Active and unrestricted DEA

• Certification by applicable professional organization
