A DFW-based energy law firm is seeking an oil and gas title associate to join its team fully remotely from anywhere in Texas, handling title work for clients across producing basins. A DFW-based energy law firm is seeking an oil and gas title associate to join its team fully remotely from anywhere in Texas, handling title work for clients across producing basins.

 

Responsibilities

- Examine records and prepare drilling, division order, and acquisition title opinions

- Analyze chains of title, curative requirements, and mineral and leasehold ownership

- Communicate findings and curative recommendations to clients and landmen

- Assist on related oil and gas transactional matters

 

Requirements

- 2-3+ years of oil and gas title experience

- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Texas

- Landman background a plus

- New Mexico license a plus

- Strong analytical and writing skills; able to work independently

 

Compensation and benefits

- $120K-$175K base, based on experience

- Full benefits package

 

Work arrangement

Full-time, fully remote within Texas.
