    About Our Practice
    We are a busy, patient-focused ENT practice dedicated to providing exceptional care in a welcoming and compassionate environment.     We are looking for an Office Specialist to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is a true team player, someone who is willing to jump in, help their coworkers, and contribute to a positive office environment.
     
    Position
    Full-Time Office Specialist
    Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
     
    The Office Specialist will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our front office and will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring patients are checked in efficiently and their insurance and financial information is accurate.
     
    Responsibilities
    • Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
    • Check patients in and ensure all necessary demographic and insurance information is accurate and up to date
    • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to or at the time of the patient's visit
    • Collect copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and other patient balances
    • Obtain and document required authorizations for same-day procedures and services
    • Communicate with insurance companies as needed regarding benefits, eligibility, and authorizations
    • Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
    • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure required forms and documentation are completed
    • Work closely with clinical staff, providers, and other members of the front office team
    • Assist coworkers with office needs as necessary to keep the day running smoothly
    • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional, compassionate demeanor with patients
    • Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and office policies
    • Perform other front-office duties as needed
    What We're Looking For
    • Previous medical office or healthcare experience preferred
    • Experience with insurance verification and/or medical billing is a plus
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Comfortable working with patients and insurance companies
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy office environment
    • Dependable, punctual, and professional
    • Comfortable learning new software and office systems
    • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
    • Someone who is willing to help wherever needed and understands that a successful office depends on everyone working together
