Position Summary

The US CEO communications team is seeking a Specialist Manager, Communications who will be responsible for owning and executing strategic internal communications and initiatives that align with the key priorities of the US CEO.

This role is ideal for an individual with experience developing engaging internal communications and who excels at building relationships with diverse stakeholders and managing complex projects with precision and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. You will report to an Associate Director on the US CEO internal communications team. Please note that this position may include occasional extended hours.

Work you'll do

You will play a critical role in activating internal firmwide communications in a way that inspires, informs, and engages key internal audiences. Your work will specifically involve:

  • Developing a thorough and nuanced understanding of internal and external firm priorities and translating them into impactful executive communications.
  • Leading strategy and program management for internal webcasts, including identifying topics, setting review schedules, and drafting invites, talking points, and replay communications.
  • Navigating and collaborating across a matrixed organization to align key stakeholders, integrate cross-business priorities, and deliver cohesive communications.
  • Owning end-to-end writing, editing, and dissemination of executive communications, capturing the voice and strategic priorities of the CEO and the executive leadership team.
  • Proactively curating compelling executive newsletter content and applying strong writing and editing skills to capture the right voice and tone.
  • Managing scripting, recording, post-production, and approval of internal videos.
  • Monitoring the evolving internal communications landscape, including emerging AI tools and platforms, to bring new approaches and best practices that elevate team performance and engagement.
  • Providing operational support across internal firm platforms, including distribution list management, Poppulo, and Deloitte Today.
  • Leading editorial and operational special projects, as priorities dictate.
  • Supporting external executive communications on an ad hoc basis, applying a working knowledge of that landscape.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with proven experience building consensus, influencing without authority, and maneuvering effectively within a matrixed environment

The team

The Office of the CEO team supports Deloitte's CEO and other senior leaders across the firm, working to advance Deloitte's strategy, operations goals, and marketplace positioning. Primary responsibilities of the team include:

  • Executive external engagement, including C-suite interactions with clients, alliances, and prospective clients
  • Internal executive programming and engagement
  • CEO communications, including internal, external, and crisis communications

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism.
  • 5+ years of communications experience, with significant time spent in executive, internal, or corporate communications.
  • Ability to travel 0-15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000 to $191,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
