Position Overview:

The Advancement Services Department seeks a Student Worker to support Prospect Research and Database teams. This role helps the college''s fundraising and alumni engagement efforts by researching biographical and philanthropic information, maintaining constituent data, and preparing leadership briefings while fostering professional development in data management and nonprofit prospect development.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and verify biographical and philanthropic information from a variety of sources including public and institutional databases.
  • Help produce written briefings for college leadership in preparation for fundraising and alumni engagement activities and events.
  • Perform data entry and maintenance in the department's constituent relationship management database (Blackbaud Raiser''s Edge NXT).
  • Periodically assist the data administration and stewardship teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain experience with data management.
  • Learn about nonprofit fundraising, especially prospect development.
  • Grow skills with Microsoft Office suite.

Required Qualifications:

  • Key technical/functional skills
  • Demonstrated abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Comfortable with Ai tools
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow ethical standards and utilize discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
