Office Move Coordinator – Washington DC On-Site - Full-time 40 hrs per week
Position Type: 4-6+ month temp assignment with potential to go longer or eventually perm
Must be able to commute to Washington DC (Capitol Hill) daily
Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a background check.

Compensation: $29.40/hr. + 5.09/hr. Health & Welfare
Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, professional, and proactive Office Move Coordinator to oversee and facilitate congressional office facilities and relocation projects. This role requires excellent communication, project management, and administrative skills to ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption. The ideal candidate will have experience in office management, event planning, vendor coordination, and team supervision. This position offers an opportunity to lead complex projects while maintaining efficient office operations during periods of transition.
Duties
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of office moves, including timeline development, resource allocation, and logistics management
  • Manage vendor relationships for moving services, equipment setup, and facility modifications
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with high-profile customers (Members of Congress and staff)
  • Oversee schedule management to ensure timely execution of move milestones
  • Supervise team members involved in the move process, providing training and support as needed
  • Coordinate with various departments (furniture warehouse, furniture re-finishing shop, IT, office of design, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper handling of sensitive or confidential information
  • Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders through various avenues
Basic Requirements:
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with high-profile customers (Members of Congress and staff) in support of coordinating the set up of their office space.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Detailed orientated and well organized with the ability to multi-task.
• Must be able assist with the movement or lifting of small furniture/ materials up to 40 lbs.
• Candidate must have flexibility in working hours.
• Professional with neat/clean appearance, and punctual.
• Must be able to follow directions, and function effectively as part of a team, and independently.
• Knowledge of and experience in the legislative environment is a plus
Additional Requirements:
• Manage deadline pressures and challenging assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to interpret and convey complex project information to high level customers.
• Knowledge of CTS Remedy Software program or other scanning software preferred but not required.
• Must have interpersonal and decision-making skills with the ability to recommend solutions.
• Ability to understand and interpret floor plans in relation to the setup of office furniture, carpet, and drapery.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365) and Adobe Acrobat.
