Huntington Learning Center in Shoreline is a preferred education service provider for Seattle Public Schools, and we’re growing. We’re looking for a confident, people-focused Program Administrator. This role mixes three things: tutoring, building relationships with families, and growing the center through partnerships with schools and businesses. It suits someone who wants business, marketing and leadership experience while staying close to teaching.
What you’ll do:
- Build partnerships: visit local schools, PTAs, and businesses to build referral relationships and win school contracts.
- Connect with families: talk with parents about their child’s needs and progress, lead parent conferences, and guide new families through enrollment.
- Market the center: help with community events, social media, and local promotions.
- Tutor: teach students in your strongest subjects.
- Coordinate: keep students, parents, and tutors on the same page about progress and goals.
You’re a good fit if you:
- Are confident and warm talking with parents, school staff, and business owners.
- Enjoy meeting people and building relationships in the community.
- Can tutor at least one subject well, such as math, reading, writing, or science.
- Are organized and follow through.
- Have an Associate degree or higher. A Bachelor’s degree or education background is preferred.
- Have reliable transportation for local school visits.

About Company
The Huntington Learning Center in La Grange Park is proud to serve the communities of La Grange, La Grange Park, Western Springs, Brookfield, Riverside, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Lyons, Bellwood, Westchester and parts of Chicago. We have a team of capable, caring professionals that work with students from Kindergarten through high school.
We have an excellent reputation as is evident by the fact that over half of the families that we serve come to us through a friend or family recommendation. We strive to provide each student with the best education possible.
We are proud to provide skill work to students in reading, writing, math, phonics and study skills. We are also home to the premier ACT/SAT program in the area. Our ACT preparation has seen our students average a 4.5 point increase on the exam. 4.5 points! We also provide subject specific tutoring in math and science.
All tutoring is done by certified teachers.
We are proud to be active members of our communities as we are involved with both the La Grange Park Chamber and and West Suburban Chamber of Commerce. We reserve our greatest pride for the hundreds of students that we have helped in the 20 plus years that we have been open.
At the 2018 National Convention, Huntington honored outstanding centers with awards for center growth, student enrollment, customer service and other achievements. Garry Fairfield of the La Grange, IL center was awarded the Commitment to Student Success Award and Executive Chairman’s Club Award for superior customer service.
