Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Temporary Office Manager / Workplace Operations Manager for a dynamic organization in San Francisco, CA. This is a full-time, temporary, onsite position working five days per week for an approximately 5-week assignment, with an ASAP start.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Temporary Office Manager / Workplace Operations Manager will take ownership of daily workplace operations while creating a polished, welcoming, and highly functional environment for employees and guests. This role will coordinate facilities, vendors, workplace projects, events, onboarding logistics, and day-to-day operational needs while partnering cross-functionally with leadership and internal teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, hospitality-driven, highly organized, and able to quickly step in and independently manage priorities throughout this fast-paced temporary assignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own day-to-day workplace and office operations, ensuring a professional, organized, welcoming, and well-functioning environment for employees and guests.
Coordinate facilities needs, maintenance, workplace services, vendors, security, and other operational requirements, proactively addressing issues as they arise.
Manage vendor relationships, operational expenses, budgets, procurement needs, and related workplace resources.
Partner with Recruiting, People Operations, IT, and other internal teams to coordinate employee onboarding logistics and ensure a seamless workplace experience.
Support company events, meetings, visitors, and employee-facing initiatives while maintaining a high standard of hospitality and service.
Lead workplace projects and shifting operational priorities independently, communicating effectively with leadership, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong background in office management, workplace operations, facilities, or a related operational function, with the ability to quickly take ownership of an established workplace.
Hands-on experience managing vendors, facilities needs, operational budgets, expenses, procurement, and workplace projects.
Demonstrated ability to create an exceptional employee and guest experience through a polished, hospitality-driven, and service-oriented approach.
Highly organized, proactive, adaptable, and resourceful, with strong project management and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Leadership, People Operations, Recruiting, IT, Finance, Security, vendors, and other stakeholders.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This temporary position offers a pay range of $40-$45 per hour, depending on experience. This is a full-time, approximately 5-week assignment based onsite five days per week in San Francisco, with an ASAP start.
