Office Manager
We are currently seeking well-qualified candidates for a take-charge Office Manager position in a 1-person office to oversee the daily office and administrative operations for a manufacturing company in Akron.

In this position, you will ensure the office runs smoothly and professionally by managing company-wide administrative and management tasks, including  managing day-to-day financial records, the procurement process, and HR operations.

Hours:
  • 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday - Friday

Pay:
  • $25.00 - $30.00+/hour, based on experience and capabilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day office operations and procedures including managing office supplies and equipment, maintaining office files and records, and managing office budget and expenses
  • Ensure office policies and procedures are followed, manage documentation and procedural activities including ensuring each department manager follows proper protocol and documentation.
  • Handle bookkeeping, invoice processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, 
  • Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, and payments)
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts, track and categorize expenses
  • Process payroll, time-off tracking, and manage employee expense reports, 
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and month-end closing
  • Process purchase orders and requisitions, maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and inventory
  • Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery, resolve invoice discrepancies and issues with suppliers
  • Assist with inventory control and stock level monitoring
  • Support HR tasks such as onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Work with proprietary accounting, purchasing, production and record-retention software

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of office management, prefer operations management experience as well
  • Must have experience running office operations in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, office management software or tools and accounting software. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) is preferred
  • 1–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience with knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management
  • Familiarity with purchasing best practices and basic contract terms
  • Knowledge of basic employment laws and HR best practices
  • Ability to review, reject and correct documentation and procedural activities by department managers
