Your impact

At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow. As our Nevada Water team continues to grow, we're looking for a Construction Office Engineer to support the delivery of critical water, wastewater, pipeline, and utility infrastructure projects across the state.

You'll work closely with construction managers, resident engineers, project managers, inspectors, designers, and client teams to help keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys balancing technical coordination, construction administration, and project controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Support construction management teams on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, payment applications, and project documentation.
  • Maintain project logs, records, and document control systems.
  • Coordinate communication between owners, contractors, designers, and project stakeholders.
  • Review schedules, monitor project progress, and support change management activities.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, correspondence, and project reports.
  • Assist with cost tracking, quantity verification, and contractor pay applications.
  • Support startup, commissioning, punch list, and project closeout efforts.
  • Conduct periodic site visits and collaborate with field staff to resolve project issues.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management, construction administration, engineering, or project controls.
  • Experience supporting water, wastewater, pipeline, utility, or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, payment applications, and construction documentation.
  • Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong organization, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Nevada.

Ideally, You'll Also Have

  • Experience with municipal water and wastewater projects.
  • Familiarity with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of CPM scheduling, cost controls, and change management.
  • EIT, CCM, OSHA 10/30, or related certifications.

Special Notification

  • Per Diem Eligible, based on project assignment and company policy
  • Project assignments may include work throughout Nevada.
  • Periodic travel between project sites and client locations may be required.

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

Posted Salary Range: Upper

The base salary range for this position is $87,700.00 to $120,600.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
