Medical Office Coordinators
positions around the Veterans Affairs Radiology facility in North Las Vegas, NV
11 Paid Federal Holidays and more!
This position may work some weekends, holidays or different shifts, but it will be a 40 hour a week position.
Occasional overtime may be scheduled according to the needs of the facility.
SUMMARY:
Provides clerical/administrative support. Schedules appointments, In addition to scheduling requested appointments, this position will call patients to schedule, reschedule, and/or cancel appointments as needed, to include appointments for consult/referral specialty care
QUALIFICATIONS:
Mandatory knowledge and skills:
Oral and written proficiency with English. Basic medical terminology knowledge. Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively, both orally and in writing, to meet program objectives.
Basic computer skills. Ability to work independently to accomplish a wide variety of duties, including setting priorities, care coordination tasks, and organizing workflow.
Type at least 50 WPM.
Ability to operate computerized programs and databases to enter, modify and retrieve sensitive information/data into or from electronic medical records, scheduling systems and/or reports. Excel most importantly.
Ability to identify customer's concerns, perform the tasks required to resolve the issue accurately and timely, and follow-up as necessary to ensure a satisfactory resolution.
Education:
· High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
· Medical terminology desired, but not required.
Experience:
· Minimum (1) one year of experience in Medical Customer Service or Medical Office setting.
