Summary

The Auditors Office has an opening for the position of Office Coordinator.

Job Summary:

  • Provides advanced administrative, operational, and office coordination support for a department, division, elected office, or management team. Coordinates office operations, records management, communications, budgeting, personnel support activities, projects, and customer service functions while serving as a primary administrative resource for assigned programs and staff. Develops and maintains office systems, processes, and documentation, supports management initiatives, and ensures compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Exercises independent judgment in organizing work, coordinating activities, resolving routine operational issues, and managing sensitive and confidential information.

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Salary Range:

  • $29.30 - $42.54
  • Unrepresented- Range 3

Hiring rate depends on qualifications. This position receives annual pay increases to the next step in the associated salary range (apx. 3.8%) subject to satisfactory performance, in addition to any negotiated Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA).

We are required by State Law to list the full salary range. As a public entity and in a union-covered position, we are required to make pay decisions based on experience, qualifications, and equity with other employees. Hiring rate typically is limited to entry to mid of the posted salary range, subject to required approvals.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree in business administration, office administration, public administration, or a related field and two (2) years of progressively responsible administrative, office coordination, or office management experience involving public contact, records management, preparation of written materials, and administrative support, or a high school diploma or GED and six (6) years of progressively responsible administrative, office coordination, clerical, or office management experience.

  • Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the essential duties of the position may be considered. Experience may substitute for education and education may substitute for experience when appropriate. Substitution does not apply where a specific degree, license, or certification is required by law, regulation, or professional standards.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Depending on assignment, complete required training on applicable cash handling policies, procedures, and internal controls within one (1) week of employment.

  • Authorize and successfully complete a background check prior to employment.

  • Must pass job-related tests.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in local government/public administration.

  • Experience supporting management teams, elected officials, or multiple professionals.

  • Experience with financial systems, human resources information systems, website administration, records management systems, desktop publishing, database management, or integrated business systems.

  • Experience developing procedures, workflows, training materials, or public communications.
