Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide clerical and direct support to the division of Workforce Development Center - Aransas County. The Office Assistant is the front-line customer service representative with students, faculty, staff and the public.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Six (6) months experience in an office/clerical setting.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Proficiency with MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook.
Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy maintaining records.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate courteously and effectively with students, faculty, staff and public.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Higher education experience.
Knowledge of Datatel Colleague and WebDMC.
One (1) year related experience in an office setting.

Document, verify, and maintain divisional paperwork to ensure uniformity, accuracy and completeness of information.
Maintains divisional documents on shared document drive.

Support and respond to student inquiries.
Support students with logging in to technology and connecting with main campus.
Job Duty
Provide routine clerical support; and monitor the office/building area cleanliness and maintenance.
