This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide clerical or direct support to the Student Leadership and Campus Life (full-time and part-time staff) and its students. The expectation of this position is to communicate with internal and external entities; provide routine clerical support; and monitor the office area cleanliness and maintenance. Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Must currently be enrolled as a Del Mar College student.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office to include, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.

Ability to organize activities and coordinate groups of people.

Ability to relate to a diverse student population.

Ability to communicate effectively (reading, writing, listening, speaking).

Ability to work independently and follow-through on assigned tasks.

Ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and manage conflict.

Ability to use a PC in an office setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field.

One year of clerical experience.

Exhibit excellent customer services skills, be familiar with all aspects of Del Mar College campus services and programs.

Collaborate with staff and faculty utilizing our center and services. Able to effectively communicate with students, staff and faculty as well as community at times.

Provide daily operation update to Student Leadership and Campus Life Director and Administrative Assistant.
