    Office Assistant

    PRIMARY PURPOSE: To support office administration functions.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Great attention to detail.
    • Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize swiftly.
    • Sets up, maintains and locates claim files.
    • Processes daily mailouts.
    • Handles shared email requests.
    • Receives all incoming mail and deliveries.
    • Conducts computer data entry and processing; documents claim files in the system correctly.
    • Prepares spreadsheets and documents in software applications.
    • Answers and initiates telephone calls as required.
    • Maintains office and kitchen supplies.
    • Sends overnight and messenger outgoing mail.
    • Processes and scans assigned client data.
    • Supports colleagues in office as needed.
    • Transmits facsimiles.
    • Prints reports and documents.

    ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Supports the organization's quality program(s).
    • Ability to lift boxes/mail bins - up to 25lbs

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education & Licensing

    High school diploma or GED required.

    Experience

    Six (6) months clerical experience or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.

    Skills & Knowledge

    • Good oral and written communication
    • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
