Position Summary:

The Office Assistant for the Education Department will support the Education Department's faculty and staff by performing a variety of tasks as directed by the Education Department Chair.

Essential Functions:
-Greet and direct students and other guests entering the department.
-Complete numerous office tasks, such as recording, filing, and copying information.
-Assist faculty in data collection.
-Coordinate/schedule meetings and events.
-Create content for social media.
-Monitor social media accounts.
-Assist faculty/staff with events and meetings.
-Help faculty/staff with technology set up for events/meetings.
-Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Non-Essential Functions:
-Ability to move objects of 25 pounds or less without assistance.
-Ability to move between two floors via elevator or outside stairways.

Required Qualifications:
-Current Washburn student.
-Experience with greeting and helping people.
-Knowledge of computers and computer display set up.
-People skills.
-Technology knowledge.
-Confidentiality with personal information regarding student academic performance.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Prefer technology training for presentations.
-Prefer college experience.
