Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

This Office Assistant position will report directly to the Assistant Dean, Student Engagement & Retention in the Center for Access & Advocacy department.

The purpose of this position is to provide clerical or direct support to the Center for Access and Advocacy staff and its students. The expectation of this position is to communicate with internal and external entities; support Academic Recovery Program; provide routine clerical support; and monitor the office area cleanliness and maintenance. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalency.

Six (6) months office/clerical related experience.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Computer literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field.

Pursuing a degree in Education, Counseling, or Special Education.

Experience with electronic records management systems.
