Audiology Office Assistant (Full-Time)

Pay:
$18.00/hour, based on experience

What You’ll Do
Administrative Support:
- Be the smiling face of our program: greet patients, answer phone calls, coordinate referrals/orders with physicians’ offices
- Maintain providers’ schedules, confirm upcoming appointment, follow-up with “no-shows” and cancellations, schedule department meetings, etc.
- Maintain patient records
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits
- Coordinate billing for services rendered, including insurance claims and private pay and assist patients with billing questions
- Prepare monthly department revenue and expense reports
- Prepare written correspondence, including call-back cards, welcome letters, handbooks, and others as the need arises.
- Maintain supplies and appearances in Audiology office.
- Recognize and capitalize on sales opportunities through various mediums (walk-ins, customer referrals, telephone inquiries, retention practices, etc.).
- Coordinate and participate in outreach activities, including marketing items, seminars, health fairs, and other community events
Clinical Support (Under Audiologist Supervision)
- Prepare hearing instruments (new orders/repairs) and related devices for delivery.
- Perform basic service/maintenance on existing hearing aids
- Assist with processing repair orders and loss/damage claims on hearing aids
- Document, record, track, and bill for services provided.

Qualifications
- High school education/GED; and up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Medical office experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the latest version of Windows. Knowledge of AdvancedMD practice software a plus.
- Experience with hearing aid maintenance/service a plus – or have the desire to learn
- Self-motivated individual who works well independently
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
