OD/ID Cylindrical Grinding Specialist — Aerospace Components

A day in this role

• Power up, set, and dial in OD and ID cylindrical grinders (Landis, Studer, Tschudin, Cincinnati, etc.) for tight-tolerance work.
• Study complex blueprints, job packets, and GD&T callouts to plan setups, wheel selection, and dressing strategies.
• Machine tool steels and heat-treated alloys to exact sizes and surface finish requirements.
• Run in-process checks using micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges; verify conformance to strict quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues to keep throughput steady.
• Maintain an orderly, safe, and clean work area.

What you bring

• 3+ years independently setting up and operating OD/ID grinders (e.g., Landis, Studer, Tschudin, Cincinnati, etc.).
• Proven track record holding very tight tolerances and achieving specified surface finishes.
• Deep knowledge of conventional grinding, wheel selection, and dressing techniques.
• Advanced blueprint reading capability with strong GD&T fluency.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade schooling is a plus.
• Consistent attendance and an unwavering commitment to quality and safety.
