Core Responsibilities
- Set up and operate OD, ID, and cylindrical CNC and manual grinders
- Execute one-off, prototype, and short-run jobs to stringent tolerances
- Select, dress, and maintain grinding wheels to achieve required finishes
- Diagnose and resolve process issues impacting dimensions or surface quality
- Interpret blueprints and GD&T; confirm results with precision metrology
- Work with hardened steels, exotic materials, and high-alloy compositions
What You Bring
- 5+ years OD/ID or cylindrical grinding experience (manual highly preferred; CNC a plus)
- Track record of holding tight tolerances and delivering premium finishes
- Solid blueprint/GD&T interpretation and shop math
- Skill with micrometers, indicators, bore gages, and other precision instruments
- Mechanical troubleshooting mindset; process-improvement focus
- Adaptability to different machines, controls, and shop cultures
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime when required
- Willingness to travel extensively
