Our client is a precision manufacturing company specializing in high-quality components and machining solutions. They are seeking a Lapping Operator to support operations within their Lapping Department.

**Position Summary

**

Our client is seeking an

** experienced OD Grinder

**to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and setting up OD/cylindrical grinding equipment and be comfortable working to tight tolerances in a precision manufacturing environment.

**Responsibilities

**

• Set up and operate OD/cylindrical grinding machines.

• Grind outside diameters to precise specifications and tight tolerances.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.

• Select and dress grinding wheels as required.

• Set machine speeds, feeds, and grinding parameters.

• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.

• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality specifications.

• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain part quality.

• Perform in-process and final quality inspections.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards.

**Qualifications

**

• 3+ years of hands-on OD/cylindrical grinding experience preferred.

• Strong understanding of grinding processes and machining practices.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.

• Experience working with tight tolerances and precision measurements.

• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.

• Ability to troubleshoot basic machine and grinding issues.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
