What you'll do
- Set up and operate OD/cylindrical grinding machines to meet exacting specifications and tight tolerances.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions with GD&T callouts.
- Select, mount, and dress wheels; set parameters (speeds/feeds) for optimal surface finish and size control.
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and document inspections.
- Adjust tooling and machine settings to maintain quality; troubleshoot process issues.
- Perform both in-process and final quality inspections.
- Keep your cell clean, organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards.
What makes you a great fit
- 3+ years of OD/cylindrical grinding experience (preferred).
- Strong understanding of grinding fundamentals and machining practices.
- Proven ability to read prints and apply GD&T.
- Experience working to tight tolerances with precision metrology.
- Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and self-directed.
- Skilled at basic troubleshooting of grinding and machine issues.
