Akkodis is seeking a OCP Engineer with FIX messaging for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting containerized trading and messaging platforms while ensuring high availability, operational stability, and cloud integration.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
OCP Engineer with FIX messaging Job Responsibilities include:
Design, implement, and support container platform solutions using OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud technologies.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot QuickFIX, Appia, and SWIFT Alliance messaging platforms within Linux environments.
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support, root cause analysis, incident resolution, and platform maintenance activities.
Manage CI/CD deployments, platform upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and infrastructure automation to ensure operational stability.
Collaborate with application, networking, infrastructure, and business teams to support FIX messaging integrations and cloud-hosted solutions.
Create technical documentation, disaster recovery procedures, operational runbooks, and performance recommendations while supporting weekend implementations and on-call activities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
6+ years of experience with Kubernetes/container platforms, including 5+ years of OpenShift (OCP) administration and engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, Docker, Linux administration, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based infrastructure platforms.
Proven expertise with FIX messaging technologies including QuickFIX, Appia, SWIFT Alliance, FIX protocol, production support, troubleshooting, and high-availability platform operations.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
