    The Fountain Group is currently seeking an OCP Engineer w/FIX Messaging Experience for a prominent client of ours. This position is located at Jersey City, NJ. Details for the position are as follows:

    Type: Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

    Job Description:

    Financial Services/Banking industry experience is required.
    Seeking an experienced OCP Engineer to engineer, deploy, automate, and support mission-critical containerized middleware platforms supporting real-time trading infrastructure. The role focuses on Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, FIX messaging platforms, Linux administration, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps automation.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Engineer and support Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) container platforms for FIX messaging environments.
    Deploy, configure, and maintain Broadridge Appia, TradeScope, QuickFIX, and SWIFT Alliance Access platforms.
    Build and manage Docker images, containers, registries, and volumes.
    Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, and Ansible.
    Automate cluster provisioning, platform operations, deployments, and infrastructure management.
    Provide L2/L3 production support, root cause analysis, incident resolution, and disaster recovery support.
    Perform Linux administration, platform patching, upgrades, and middleware maintenance.
    Support cloud-hosted container platforms within AWS environments.
    Develop automation using Shell, Bash, Perl, or Python scripting.
    Create technical documentation, operational runbooks, and deployment procedures.
    Participate in weekend implementations and on-call production support rotations.

    Education
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

    Required Skills
    6+ years of Kubernetes and container platform engineering experience.
    5+ years of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) administration.
    Financial Services or Banking industry experience.
    Hands-on experience with Broadridge Appia, TradeScope FIX, QuickFIX, and SWIFT Alliance Access.
    Strong knowledge of FIX Protocol and FIX order flow.
    Docker image creation, Dockerfiles, container lifecycle management, registries, and volumes.
    Linux system administration and networking.
    Shell, Bash, Perl, or Python scripting.
    CI/CD implementation using Jenkins.
    Bitbucket, GitHub, Git, JIRA, and Ansible.
    AWS cloud platform experience.
    Container orchestration and cluster administration.
    Production support for real-time trading or high-performance messaging environments.
    Root cause analysis, incident management, platform patching, and infrastructure maintenance.

    Preferred Skills
    VMware administration.
    Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
    SonarQube.
    Prometheus and Grafana.
    YAML.
    AWS services including EC2, S3, ELB, IAM, VPC, Route 53, RDS, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, Lambda, and SNS.
    Exchange connectivity and FIX client connectivity support.
    Distributed systems engineering.
    Middleware performance tuning and capacity planning.
    Disaster Recovery implementation and testing.
