Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Inpatient Rehab - PRN

Graduate of an AOTA approved occupational therapy assistant education program; successful completion of the certification process for Occupational Therapy Assistant. Licensed or eligible for licensure, or temporary licensure, as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Examiners.

Compensation

• $33.00 flat rate

Responsibilities:

• Performs responsibilities as an integral team member of an OT/OTA collaboration focused on patient centered decision making.
• Documents delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Educates patients, family, caregivers, significant others, and staff members.
• Directs and supervises activities of support personnel.
• Performs occupational therapy programs under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, utilizing standard occupational therapy techniques as appropriate for the patient's age, functional impairments, abilities, needs, and desires.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate of an AOTA approved occupational therapy assistant education program; successful completion of the certification process for Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Experience

• Preferred but not required

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

 

Licensure/Certification

• Licensed or eligible for licensure, or temporary licensure, as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Examiners. 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
