Job Summary Begin your career journey with us and start changing lives today as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant COTA. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant you would work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to improve residents quality of life and ability to perform daily activities by assisting with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan. Here youll be given the opportunity to use and develop skills like problem-solving communication and creativity while delivering quality holistic care as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant COTA.
Responsibilities Provides monitors and records services to patientsresidents with physical cognitive developmental and psychosocial impairments
Selects implements and modifies activities and interventions that are consistent with demonstrated competency levels and goals
Exchanges information with and provides documentation to the occupational therapist
Knowledgeable about the patientsresidents targeted occupational therapy outcomes
Qualifications Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the states of practice.
When working at a Sanford Health Facility not required but preferred for GSS Facilities Must also be certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy NBCOT.
Conforms to the supervision and licensing standards of the states where services are provided.
When applicable may require valid drivers license.
Basic Life Support BLS certification required within six months of employment.
