Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join a patient-focused rehabilitation team in Sierra Vista, Arizona. This mid-level position evaluates patients, creates individualized therapy plans, and provides interventions designed to improve independence and participation in everyday activities.
The Occupational Therapist will work closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to establish functional goals and support positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and identify patients' functional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions that improve daily living skills, mobility, and functional independence.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust therapy plans as appropriate.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Partner with physicians, rehabilitation professionals, nursing staff, families, and other members of the care team.
- Teach patients and caregivers appropriate adaptive strategies, techniques, and use of assistive equipment.
- Follow applicable safety procedures, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete additional responsibilities appropriate to the Occupational Therapist role.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current Occupational Therapy license for the state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous rehabilitation or acute-care experience.
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience.
- Familiarity with rehabilitation documentation systems.
