    Provides skilled Occupational Therapy Services to patients in the Outpatient, Inpatient, LTAC settings.

    Evaluates patients status and needs, plans and establishes realistic short-term and long-term goals/outcomes. Implements OT programs, progresses programs, and provides treatment as indicated. Revaluates patients physical and cognitive status regularly.

    Communicates and documents patient care activities, assessment results, and needs. Provides education/guidance to patient/family/caregivers, significant other(s), and staff members as appropriate.

    Collaborates with treatment from hospital department/personnel and external agencies. Maintains equipment and supply needs and organizes work area.

    Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), provides clinical instruction to students, and supervises observers and volunteers.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. • Successful completion of all clinical field work. • Current Alabama O.T. license and annual continuing education. • Must have BLS/CPR by the American Heart Association.
