Position Summary
Miriam Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide direct support and comprehensive interventions for children and adolescents with diverse learning needs.
We are specifically seeking an after-school OT or COTA to work evenings at our Webster Groves location to provide 1:1 private therapy focusing on sensory regulation, fine motor, and gross motor treatment. This role requires a two-evening per week commitment. In addition to evening private clients, daytime classroom support options may also be available.

Key Responsibilities
Private After-School Therapy: Provide targeted 1:1 evening therapy sessions at the Webster Groves clinic location addressing sensory processing, fine motor skills, and gross motor deficits for private clients.
Assessment & Evaluation (OT): Conduct comprehensive, professional assessments of students' gross motor, fine motor, and sensory processing skills to identify strengths and deficit areas.
Direct Support & Intervention (OT & COTA): Deliver high-quality 1:1 and small-group interventions targeting sensory regulation, fine motor skills, ADLs, and academic engagement.
Goal Development & Planning:
OT: Develop appropriate Individualized Education Program (IEP) and/or private therapy goals designed to access general education curriculum or assist families in reaching realistic treatment outcomes.
COTA: Under the supervision of an OT, assist in writing, updating, and executing therapy goals and maintaining alignment with treatment plans.
Instructional & Behavioral Support: Provide accommodations, differentiation, and real-time reinforcement for social-emotional and daily living goals.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed, timely progress notes, report writing, billing, and payroll submissions utilizing personal computer systems.
Collaborative Care & Consultation: Work alongside teachers, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams to implement OT programs compliant with school, state, and federal guidelines. Provide regular education and updates to parents, guardians, and related professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Additional Duties: Execute other related duties as assigned by supervisors or school staff.
