    Hiring Range: $70,000–$116,000 annually

    Position Overview

    Are you an experienced NICU Occupational Therapist looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of premature and medically complex infants?

    We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join a collaborative pediatric rehabilitation team in Fort Myers. This position provides specialized occupational therapy services within a Level III NICU, with an emphasis on neurodevelopmental care, feeding, sensory integration, positioning, and early functional development.

    You'll work alongside physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals while partnering closely with families to support each infant's development and overall outcomes.

    Compensation & Benefits

    About This Position

    As a NICU Occupational Therapist, you will provide specialized care to premature and medically complex infants during a critical stage of their development.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Evaluate infants with developmental, physiological, and functional impairments
    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's medical and developmental needs
    • Provide neurodevelopmental and sensory-based interventions
    • Support feeding and oral-motor development
    • Address positioning, handling, and developmental needs
    • Monitor patient responses and modify interventions as appropriate
    • Support early functional development and developmental milestones
    • Educate and collaborate with parents and caregivers
    • Work closely with the interdisciplinary NICU team
    • Participate in discharge planning and transition of care
    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
    • Participate in education, consultation, and professional development
    • Demonstrate strong critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

    NICU & Pediatric Care Environment

    This opportunity is based within a Level III NICU providing care to premature and medically complex infants.

    The Occupational Therapist will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on providing family-centered care and supporting infants through:

    • Neurodevelopmental support
    • Feeding therapy
    • Sensory integration

    • Developmental stimulation

    • Transition and discharge planning

    Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required

    Experience: NICU experience required and pediatric acute care experience required

    License: Active Florida Occupational Therapist License required

    Certification: BLS through the American Heart Association required

    New Graduates: Not eligible for this position
