Job Position: Occupational Therapist

Location: Madison Heights, MI 48071

Pay Rate: Starting rate $45.00/hr

Description: Are you passionate about helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in the educational environment? We are seeking a dedicatedFull-Time, In-Person Occupational Therapistto provide services within a supportive school setting. The caseload is35-40 students, up to 8th grade. OT will be needed at 3 buildings.

What you'll need:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

  • Active MI Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)

  • Experience working in a school setting preferred

  • Strong understanding of special education services, IEP processes, and goal development

  • Ability to conduct evaluations, interpret assessment results, and develop individualized treatment plans

  • Excellent communication, documentation, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations to identify students' functional and educational needs

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students

  • Support students in developing fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills necessary for participation in school activities

  • Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers to support student success

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development, accommodations, and progress monitoring

  • Recommend and support the use of adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and intervention strategies

  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records in accordance with district and state requirements
