Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services to students in the Lancaster, South Carolina area. This is a full-time school-based opportunity supporting students from Kindergarten through 12th grade and helping them develop the skills necessary to participate and succeed in the educational environment.

Position Details

• Full-time, school-based opportunity

• Serving students in K-12

• Starting pay of $50/hour

• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, and other related service professionals

• Provide individualized occupational therapy services based on student needs and IEP goals

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' needs and IEP goals.

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students.

• Address fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and functional skills as appropriate.

• Help students develop skills necessary for classroom participation and independence.

• Recommend and implement appropriate accommodations, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology.

• Monitor and document student progress toward therapy and IEP goals.

• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Consult with teachers and families regarding strategies to support students throughout the school day.

• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with applicable state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

• Current South Carolina Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one.

• NBCOT certification preferred.

• Experience working with children or in a school-based setting is preferred.

• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work effectively with students across a range of ages and support needs.
