At the direction of the Clinical Manager, the Occupational Therapist screens, evaluates, re-evaluates and treats patients referred by a licensed provider. Coordinates and communicates treatment activities with health care team members and the patient. Works closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
The Occupational Therapist:
- Evaluates the patient's need for occupational therapy and develops/carries out appropriate treatment plan.
- Instructs family members, COTA's, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques.
- Communicates with the physician and other health care providers on a regular basis regarding the patient's progress.
- Provides clinical oversight of COTAs in the home.

Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist in Vermont and New Hampshire or hold a compact license.
- Graduate of an accredited school in Occupational Therapy
- One year of experience as an OT in a home health care setting is preferred
Required Licensure/Certifications:
- Must hold at least one active unencumbered OT license in either VT or NH at the time of hire. Employees must have active unencumbered OT licenses in both VT and NH within 30 days of their hire date.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Current car insurance, which meets minimum standards
- BLS within 90 days of hire
