Location: Cranston, RI
Salary: $40.00 USD Hourly - $45.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking an Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract position within a local school district. This role is focused on supporting a high-needs student population across two elementary school sites, providing a rewarding opportunity to deliver critical therapeutic support in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored occupational therapy services to students with high-needs caseloads in an educational setting.
  • Float between two elementary schools to deliver consistent 1:1 and small group interventions.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective IEP intervention plans.
  • Utilize therapeutic techniques to enhance students’ functional abilities and participation in daily school activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress in compliance with regulatory and school standards.
  • Attend required meetings and participate in Safety Care training provided by the school.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Valid Rhode Island Occupational Therapy (OT) license.
  • Strong understanding of school-based therapy frameworks and IDEA regulations.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively communicating as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to undergo and implement Safety Care training (provided upon hire).
