Location: The Woodlands, TX
Pay Rate: Starting at $60.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 10 or 12-hour shifts
Dean's Professional Services is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and patient-focused Occupational Therapist ClinSpec to support a leading healthcare organization in The Woodlands, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist with pediatric clinical experience who is passionate about helping patients achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life.
Plan, evaluate, organize, and implement developmentally and age-appropriate Occupational Therapy treatment programs for patients from neonates through adulthood.
Complete comprehensive patient evaluations and reassessments in accordance with hospital and department guidelines.
Develop individualized plans of care based on evaluation and reassessment findings.
Collaborate with patients and families to establish measurable short-term and long-term goals.
Provide patient care and therapeutic interventions within the scope of professional training and responsibilities.
Demonstrate advanced clinical competencies within areas of specialty.
Manage patient schedules effectively while maintaining departmental productivity expectations.
Monitor patient responses to treatment and modify interventions as appropriate.
Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment and therapeutic strategies based on patient needs.
Recommend termination of treatment when clinically appropriate.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, families, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, therapy leadership, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote quality patient care.
Independently evaluate clinical situations, establish priorities, and apply appropriate clinical principles when developing and implementing treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and professional documentation while protecting patient confidentiality.
Utilize basic office equipment and computer systems as required.
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
Active Texas Occupational Therapy license required.
Pediatric experience required.
Minimum 2 years of pediatric, women's health, orthopedics, or sports medicine clinical experience, or 1 year of residency in one of these specialties.
Pediatric outpatient experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of rehabilitative care for patients with acute and chronic conditions.
Understanding of human development from neonates through adulthood.
Demonstrated professional clinical competency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, parents, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
Strong organizational and clinical decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Professional, courteous, and supportive approach when working with patients, families, and staff.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow established policies and procedures.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office equipment required.
