    Make a Meaningful Difference in Burn Recovery

    Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our nationally recognized Joseph M. Still Burn Center.

    As part of a highly specialized interdisciplinary team, you will play an essential role in helping patients recover from complex burn injuries through rehabilitation focused on functional independence, upper extremity recovery, splinting, scar management, and activities of daily living.

    This is an exceptional opportunity for an OT who is passionate about patient-centered care and interested in developing expertise within one of the nation's premier burn programs.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate and treat patients with burn and complex wound injuries across the continuum of care
    • Develop individualized treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes and independence
    • Fabricate and manage custom splints and positioning devices as appropriate
    • Implement interventions focused on range of motion, scar management, contracture prevention, and upper extremity function
    • Facilitate activities of daily living (ADL) retraining and functional mobility
    • Educate patients and caregivers regarding rehabilitation goals and home programs
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, case managers, and other members of the care team
    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Burn Rehab Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. Working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, you will evaluate needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands-on treatment that supports recovery through every stage of healing.     What qualifications you will need:
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • (OT) Occupational Therapist
    • Bachelors Degree
    • Prior Acute Care or Burn Therapy experience is required
