The Industrial Safety & Health Engineer plays a fundamental role in maintaining these environments.
The Industrial Safety & Health Engineer is a new position within the EHS team that was created to provide hands-on support within the Facilities Maintenance organization. This role is focused on identifying and evaluating safety and health hazards, preventing workplace-related injuries and illnesses, responding to EHS concerns, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Through this work, the role strengthens FSU's risk posture and helps ensure a safe, healthy campus environment that advances the university's mission as it continues to grow.
This position assists in evaluating and recommending controls for potentially unsafe environmental, health, and safety conditions at the University, applying knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and University policies.
