    Job Summary and Qualifications

    "This is an On call position and not a traditional PRN position. The Occ Health Tech will participate in the OHS after Hours Program (Nights and Weekends)"

    Your responsibilities will include: 

    • Providing front-line administrative support, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing billing, and maintaining accurate records 
    • Assist with patient care
    • Acting as a patient advocate by promptly responding to questions and addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism 
    • Maintaining thorough and organized patient and employee health files, ensuring all documentation is up to date 
    • Coordinating employee health services such as pre-employment screenings, immunizations, fit testing, and follow-up on work-related injuries. 
    • Monitoring and restocking medical and office supplies to keep the unit fully equipped and ready to provide care 
    • Performs Laboratory Testing
    • Performs Drug and Alcohol Screen collections
    • Maintains Patient medical records

    What qualifications you will need:

    Experience:

    At least 6 months experience in a medical setting

    License Required

    • Certified Medical Assistant in the State of Texas
    • BLS for healthcare provider
    • (BAT) Breath Alcohol Technician must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Urine Drug Screen Collector must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
    • High School Graduate / GED
