Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Program Lead — Manufacturing

Location: Indianapolis, IN | Employment Type: Full-time

Aegis Worldwide is partnering with an automotive manufacturer to elevate plant-wide safety performance. In this role, you will set the vision for an effective Occupational Health & Safety program and guide a capable team to embed safe work practices into daily operations.

What you will own

  • Define the strategic roadmap for safety, integrating business objectives, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and prioritize the work of the safety team to execute programs consistently across the site.
  • Build, maintain, and continually improve policies, procedures, and the OHS Management System aligned to ISO 45001.
  • Use leading and lagging indicators to analyze performance trends and drive risk reduction and long-range planning.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, and CI leaders to weave safety into production, capital projects, and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance through governance, audits, and oversight; advise leadership on risk exposure and performance results.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Expert knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team development, and stakeholder influence capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with common business software and digital tools used for inspections and reporting.
