    Are you an experienced affordable housing professional who enjoys compliance, organization, and helping residents navigate the certification process? We're seeking a detail-oriented Occupancy Specialist to join our team in Norfolk, VA.

    Schedule

    • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
    • Full-time position

    What You'll Do

    • Complete annual and interim recertifications in accordance with HUD and affordable housing guidelines
    • Process resident paperwork accurately and efficiently while meeting compliance deadlines
    • Maintain resident files and ensure all documentation is complete and audit-ready
    • Manage MORS requirements and assist with compliance reporting
    • Work closely with residents to gather required documentation and explain program requirements
    • Collaborate with onsite management to ensure occupancy and compliance goals are met
    • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
    • Assist with audits, file reviews, and other compliance-related responsibilities

    Requirements:

    • Requires High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years related property management experience and familiarity with the recertification process
    • Extensive knowledge of property management software, OneSite experience a plus
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
    • 2+ years' experience in property management with EIV experience
    • Knowledgeable with respect to affordable housing programs, federally-assisted, and all State and local housing regulations
