Occup Therapist Seasonal PRN

    Position responsibilities include: interpretation of the practitioner's referral; provision of the initial occupational therapy assessment of the patient; identification and documentation of precautions, special problems, contraindications; development of a treatment plan including the long and short terms goals; implementation of or directing implementation of the treatment plan; appropriate accurate and timely documentation and billing; delegation of appropriate tasks; direction/supervision of support staff in a manner appropriate for the patient's individual needs; reassessment of the patient in reference to goals, and when necessary, modification of the treatment plan; collaboration with members of the health care team as appropriate.     Job Summary

    This position involves the purposeful practice of activities or interventions to achieve functional outcomes, maximizing the independence and maintenance of health of any individual who is limited by a physical injury or illness, a cognitive impairment, a psychosocial dysfunction, a mental illness, a developmental or a learning disability, or an adverse environmental condition. Position responsibilities include: interpretation of the practitioner's referral; provision of the initial occupational therapy assessment of the patient; identification and documentation of precautions, special problems, contraindications; development of a treatment plan including the long and short terms goals; implementation of or directing implementation of the treatment plan; appropriate accurate and timely documentation and billing; delegation of appropriate tasks; direction/supervision of support staff in a manner appropriate for the patient's individual needs; reassessment of the patient in reference to goals, and when necessary, modification of the treatment plan; collaboration with members of the health care team as appropriate. The therapist assumes the responsibility for assessing the patient, identifying the level of acuity of illness, planning the patient's treatment program, and implementing/directing the program.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Prefer Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.

    BLS: Basic Life Support
