About Us
Colorado College ("CC") is a private, four-year, highly selective liberal arts college of 2,100 undergraduate students and a small Master of Arts in teaching program. It is located on a 99-acre campus adjacent to downtown, 'Olympic City', Colorado Springs. The campus sits on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains at the foot of Pikes Peak. The college operates an innovative curricular approach, known as the Block Plan, which entails students taking one course at a time for three and a half weeks, with the academic year divided into eight "blocks." The Colorado College Department of Athletics sponsors 17 varsity programs. Fifteen programs compete at the NCAA Division III level and two at the Division I level. Division III programs are members of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), with the exception of Men's Lacrosse (independent) and Women's Lacrosse (WIAC affiliate). Division I Men's Hockey is a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) and Division I Women's Soccer competes as an affiliate member of the Mountain West Conference (MWC).
Job Summary
Provides day-to-day NCAA compliance support for a highly competitive multi-division athletics program. Assists in administering and monitoring compliance with NCAA, conference, and college rules and regulations and serves as a resource to coaches, staff, and student-athletes regarding regulatory requirements. Supports student-athlete services initiatives by coordinating with campus partners and assisting with programs that promote the academic, athletic, and personal success of student-athletes.
Responsibilities
NCAA Compliance Administration and Monitoring:
Administer day-to-day NCAA and conference compliance activities, including monitoring recruiting activities, student-athlete eligibility, financial aid, amateurism, and playing and practice season requirements.
Provide guidance and routine interpretations of NCAA, conference, and institutional rules to coaches, staff, and student-athletes, escalating complex issues when appropriate.
Assist with the administration of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) and revenue-sharing processes and ensure required documentation and records are maintained.
Compile, prepare, and submit regular reports and compliance-related materials required by the NCAA, conference offices, and institutional stakeholders. Support adherence to established departmental compliance policies and procedures.
Student-Athlete Support and Advising:
Provide support and assistance to student-athletes, coaches, and departmental staff regarding compliance-related matters and available campus resources.
Assist with student-athlete success initiatives and provide guidance on NCAA eligibility and participation requirements.
Support Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) activities and help promote compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional expectations.
Campus Coordination and Communication:
Serve as a point of contact with campus offices, including the Registrar, Advising Hub, Admissions, and Financial Aid, to facilitate compliance-related processes and information sharing.
Coordinate with Residential Life, Dining Services, and other campus partners on matters affecting student-athletes, including support during academic breaks and special circumstances.
Maintain effective communication with coaches and campus stakeholders regarding routine compliance requirements.
Departmental Collaboration and Administrative Support
Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with athletics staff to support compliance objectives and operational needs.
Assist with special projects, process documentation, and other administrative assignments that contribute to the continuity and effectiveness of athletics department operations.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of relevant work experience may be substituted for one year of required education (OR) one year of relevant academic coursework beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for one year of required professional experience.
