Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Observability Operations Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate is responsible for administering, optimizing, and supporting enterprise monitoring and observability platforms while ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of critical systems.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Observability Operations Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Administer, configure, and optimize enterprise observability platforms including Dynatrace, Splunk, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.

• Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, alerts, and operational metrics to ensure platform health and visibility.

• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve performance and reliability issues across enterprise environments.

• Support and manage Linux, Kubernetes, containerized, and cloud-based infrastructure while ensuring system scalability and availability.

• Automate operational processes using Python, Shell scripting, REST APIs, and observability tools to improve efficiency and enable self-healing capabilities.

• Manage platform upgrades, patching, capacity planning, backups, and operational governance while collaborating with SRE, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Application teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 7-10 years of experience in Observability Engineering, Platform Administration, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Production Support.

• Strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and enterprise observability platforms.

• Proven expertise in Linux, Kubernetes, cloud environments, automation using Python/Shell scripting, and production incident troubleshooting with root cause analysis (RCA).

Pay Details: $45.00 to $46.00 per hour
