This is a part-time, 0.5 FTE position that assists the OBGYN Clerkship and 4th Year Course Director in overseeing the Obstetrics and Gynecology Predoctoral Education for the department of OBGYN, including the 3rd year clerkship, 4th year rotations, electives, and other Obstetrics and Gynecology medical student activities.

Job Duties:
Assist the OBGYN Clerkship and 4th Year Course Director in Overseeing the Obstetrics and Gynecology Predoctoral Education/Curriculum (65%)
Assist the OBGYN Clerkship Director in overseeing the Obstetrics and Gynecology Predoctoral Education for the department of OBGYN, including the 3rd year clerkship, 4th year rotations, electives, enrichment opportunities during foundational sciences blocks, and other Obstetrics and Gynecology medical student activities. These duties may include:
Assisting the Clerkship Director in completing M3 and M4 course evaluations
Assisting the Clerkship Director with grading of M3 OSCEs
Reviewing M3 and M4 course descriptions, syllabi and assessments
Reviewing M4 rotation requests and applications
Assist the OBGYN Clerkship Director in communicating with the medical student curriculum committee and the Assistant and Associate Deans for Medical Education and assist with implementation and quality of the medical student educational program and assist in coordination of institutional policies and educational programs with those of the University, affiliated clinical sites, accrediting bodies such as the LCME, and national specialty and educational groups.
Assist the OBGYN Clerkship Director in collaboration with the Assistant Dean for Medical Education: Clinical Sciences regarding appropriateness of assessment methods as they relate to learning objectives and competencies, and facilitate collection, review, and completion of student and faculty evaluations at the conclusion of each clinical sciences block.
Assist the OBGYN Clerkship Director in recruiting and engaging with the regional educational leaders on all campuses to ensure student educational experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology curriculum are consistent among sites while taking advantages of site-specific resources and opportunities (in accordance with the LCME accreditation standard ED- 8).
Serve on committees (e.g., Curriculum Committee, special committees, and task forces) as the Assistant OBGYN Clerkship Director to ensure that students are appropriate prepared for the clinical sciences block, and provided adequate resources, and the block is mapped to the graduation competencies.
